weld & co combines artisan craftsmanship with industrial production to manufacture our products in the region. This lets us take full advantage of the potential offered by series production while still addressing individual customer wishes.
Concept and design
At weld & co, all our products reflect the signature designs that are currently produced exclusively by weld & co founder Manuel Welsky. His style is distinguished by an equal consideration for form and function, for beauty and utility. Manuel Welsky has deliberately selected a clean and minimalist design language, with a focus on the essentials as his leitmotif. In the Oak, Reclaimed Wood and Walnut collections, this is communicated through contrasts, while the Solid & Grid collection features clean lines and a uniform material.
Our furniture and home accessories are produced by small and medium-sized manufacturers in the German region of East Westphalia. The final assembly is done in our own workshop, where we also perform quality assurance. In addition, we can handle specific customer requests here.
In our work with our partners – from purchasing to production to sales – we believe in the value of cooperation, transparency, and a level playing field. With this in mind, we maintain an ongoing dialog with our suppliers about how improve our selection of materials and manufacturing techniques, collaborating to figure out the best possible ways to use resources. We listen very carefully to our retailers so that we can optimize our portfolio to their needs – to better meet the needs of their customers. And our direct customers are also an important source of ideas for the development of new products as well as improvements and enhancements to existing ones.
At weld & co, we definitely do more than just pay lip service to sustainability. However, we are also aware that there is still a lot that we can do to contribute to a better future. We try to live up to this responsibility every day, through many small steps that will help us reach a larger goal.
